OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. (AP) - Ocean Springs police arrested a 41-year-old man on a charge of bank robbery within seconds of his leaving the Merchants & Marine Bank on U.S. Highway 90.
Police say witnesses to the robbery pointed out Sean Bradford Mitchell to police, who were near the bank when the report of the robbery came in at 11:35 a.m. Thursday.
Ocean Springs Det. John Flowers told The Sun Herald that Mitchell was leaving the bank on foot with cash, but only made a few hundred yards before he was arrested.
Flowers said Mitchell has no known ties to the Ocean Springs community and his last known address was in Athens, Ohio.
