HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - A city of Hattiesburg employee is out of a job after being arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
Jeremy Griffith made his initial appearance in court Monday afternoon on felony drug charges, specifically crack. City spokeswoman Jeanetta Bennett says Griffith was employed in the public works department, but after being arrested Friday on James Street, he forfeited his job.
He was not on duty at the time of his arrest. Bond was set at $15,000.
