JONES COUNTY, MS (WDAM)- A court date has been set for a former JCJC employee who allegedly embezzled money from the school.

Tracy Laird, 39, pleaded not guilty to stealing $90,000 from the college.

Laird worked for JCJC for 10 years in the accounting department but the embezzlement allegedly started in 2007.

The state auditor's office is demanding that Laird repay over $109,000; $18,000 is for interest and investigative costs.

Laird was fired by the school earlier this year when the college discovered the alleged violations.

Laird is scheduled to go before the judge on November 25.
