CANTON, MS (WLBT) - Family members and friends are remembering a USM student killed in a suspected drunk driving accident.
Visitation was held in Canton Sunday for 18-year-old Lejulia White. The Camden native graduated from Velma Jackson high school before starting classes at the University of Southern Mississippi last week.
Early Thursday morning, a car she was riding in with three other USM students was struck by an SUV. White was killed.
A $1 million dollar bond has been set for the accused drunk driver of the SUV, 55-year-old Ronnie Matthews of Hattiesburg.
Funeral services for White will be held Monday in Pocahontas.
