MCLAIN, Miss. (AP) - Authorities say a Greene County man is charged with manufacture of marijuana and possession of a stolen firearm after an air operation to detect marijuana plants.
Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics Director Marshall Fisher says 61-year-old Matthew McLeod of McLain was arrested Thursday.
Fisher says MBN agents, Greene County Sheriff's Department officials and members of the Mississippi National Guard teamed up to for an air patrol and discovered 34 marijuana plants.
Fisher says a search of McLeod's property also uncovered a rifle reported stolen in 1995 from a former Greene County justice court judge.
McLeod was being held without bond pending an initial court appearance. It's not clear if he's hired an attorney.
