CLARKSDALE, Miss. (AP) - The Coahoma County Board of Supervisors has approved the preliminary site plan for a new casino which is looking to locate in the county.
The plot of land the yet unnamed casino has been eyeing is located just northeast of the Isle of Capri Casino and owned by Lula Timber Company.
Alan Byrd is a managing member of Lulu Timber and stresses he is still in the very early stages of discussion with the interested party.
Byrd says he does not know enough details to release specific information on the name of the casino or its potential size. He did say the company he is in talks with owns multiple casinos.
