The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of southwest Alabama and southeast Mississippi,
including the following areas, in southwest Alabama, Baldwin
Central, Baldwin Coastal, Baldwin Inland, Mobile Central,
Mobile Coastal, and Mobile Inland. In southeast Mississippi,
George and Stone.

* Through this evening

* One to three inches of rainfall through early evening with
locally higher amounts.

* Impacts include, localized flash flooding from heavy rainfall
and rapid rises in smaller creeks and streams.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding.

Monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should
Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

The National Weather Service in New Orleans has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch FOR portions of southeast Louisiana and
Mississippi, including the following areas, in southeast
Louisiana, Ascension, Assumption, East Baton Rouge, East
Feliciana, Iberville, Livingston, Lower Jefferson, Lower
Lafourche, Lower Plaquemines, Lower St. Bernard, Lower
Terrebonne, Northern Tangipahoa, Orleans, Pointe Coupee,
Southern Tangipahoa, St. Charles, St. Helena, St. James, St.
John The Baptist, St. Tammany, Upper Jefferson, Upper
Lafourche, Upper Plaquemines, Upper St. Bernard, Upper
Terrebonne, Washington, West Baton Rouge, and West Feliciana.
In Mississippi, Hancock, Harrison, Jackson, and Pearl River.

* Through this evening

* Rainfall amounts of 1-3 inches are possible across the area this
morning and through the afternoon hours. Some of the storms
could become heavy and lead to isolated heavier amounts.

* Impacts include localized flash flooding from excessive rainfall
as well as the possibility of rises along area streams and
rivers.

Today looks rather wet as we have quite a bit of moisture coming into the area from the gulf.

Expect numerous showers and thunderstorms at times with highs in the lower 80s.

A few lingering showers are possible overnight with lows in the lower to mid 70s.

On Friday you can expect more showers and thunderstorms with highs in the upper 80s.

As we head into the weekend temperatures will likely get into the lower 90s and a occasional showers and thunderstorms mainly in the afternoon hours.
