...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE TONIGHT...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of Alabama, northwest Florida, and southeast
Mississippi, including the following areas, in Alabama,
Baldwin Central, Baldwin Coastal, Baldwin Inland, Butler,
Choctaw, Clarke, Conecuh, Covington, Crenshaw, Escambia,
Mobile Central, Mobile Coastal, Mobile Inland, Monroe,
Washington, and Wilcox. In northwest Florida, Escambia
Coastal, Escambia Inland, Okaloosa Coastal, Okaloosa Inland,
Santa Rosa Coastal, and Santa Rosa Inland. In southeast
Mississippi, George, Greene, Perry, Stone, and Wayne.

* Through late tonight

* Life threatening flash flooding is possible as additional heavy
rain bands from Tropical Storm Cindy continue to stream across
the north central Gulf Coast region today. The rain bands will
begin to shift west of south central Alabama and the western
Florida Panhandle this evening. The widespread heavy rain threat
will begin to decrease over southwest Alabama and southeast
Mississippi by late tonight.

* Additional rainfall totals of 2 to 4 inches are likely with
locally higher amounts of 4 to 8 inches possible, especially
where the more persistent rain bands set up. 5 to 10 inches of
rain has already fallen across much of the watch area, and the
additional heavy rainfall will only further increase the
flooding potential across the area. In addition to the flash
flooding, many area rivers are forecast to reach moderate flood
stage.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. This is a VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT THIS

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of southeast Louisiana and Mississippi, including the
following areas, in southeast Louisiana, Ascension,
Assumption, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberville,
Livingston, Lower Jefferson, Lower Lafourche, Lower
Plaquemines, Lower St. Bernard, Lower Terrebonne, Northern

Upper St. Bernard, Upper Terrebonne, Washington, West Baton
Rouge, and West Feliciana. In Mississippi, Amite, Hancock,
Harrison, Jackson, Pearl River, Pike, Walthall, and Wilkinson.

* until 7 PM CDT this evening

* Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches with isolated
higher amounts possible. These additional amounts will be found
mainly inside rainfall bands that train over the same areas. In
addition to the flash flooding potential we can expect to see
further rises on area rivers leading to flooding along several
rivers. Drainage of heavy rainfall will be impeded along the
coast where high tides and areas of coastal inundation continue.
Greatest concern for any flash flooding will be across coastal
Mississippi which has seen 5 to 10 inches of rain with isolated
amounts near 12 inches already.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE TONIGHT...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of Alabama, northwest Florida, and southeast
Mississippi, including the following areas, in Alabama,
Baldwin Central, Baldwin Coastal, Baldwin Inland, Butler,
Choctaw, Clarke, Conecuh, Covington, Crenshaw, Escambia,
Mobile Central, Mobile Coastal, Mobile Inland, Monroe,
Washington, and Wilcox. In northwest Florida, Escambia
Coastal, Escambia Inland, Okaloosa Coastal, Okaloosa Inland,
Santa Rosa Coastal, and Santa Rosa Inland. In southeast
Mississippi, George, Greene, Perry, Stone, and Wayne.

* Through late tonight

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action

...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT THIS
EVENING...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of southeast Louisiana and Mississippi, including the
following areas, in southeast Louisiana, Ascension,
Assumption, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberville,
Livingston, Lower Jefferson, Lower Lafourche, Lower
Plaquemines, Lower St. Bernard, Lower Terrebonne, Northern
Tangipahoa, Orleans, Pointe Coupee, Southern Tangipahoa, St.
Charles, St. Helena, St. James, St. John The Baptist, St.
Tammany, Upper Jefferson, Upper Lafourche, Upper Plaquemines,

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.

...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE TONIGHT...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of Alabama, northwest Florida, and southeast
Mississippi, including the following areas, in Alabama,
Baldwin Central, Baldwin Coastal, Baldwin Inland, Butler,
Choctaw, Clarke, Conecuh, Covington, Crenshaw, Escambia,
Mobile Central, Mobile Coastal, Mobile Inland, Monroe,
Washington, and Wilcox. In northwest Florida, Escambia
Coastal, Escambia Inland, Okaloosa Coastal, Okaloosa Inland,
Santa Rosa Coastal, and Santa Rosa Inland. In southeast
Mississippi, George, Greene, Perry, Stone, and Wayne.

* Through late tonight
