Hollywood's stars got dressed up to strut their stuff down the red carpet of the Kodak Theater in Los Angeles for the 2009 Academy Awards.  More than a celebration of their acting performances, the night becomes a fashion frenzy with photographers and actors alike turning heads to see what everyone is wearing.  Fishtail style gowns, sweetheart necklines, shimmery whites and grays were popular in the gown department.  Most actors went with the basic black tuxedo while a few stood out with their own color and style like John Legend who wore brown There were a lot of hits and definitely a few misses.  Scroll through the slides of some of the evening's standouts and decide for yourself.
