HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Keith’s Superstore locations in the Pine Belt and Mississippi Gulf Coast are are raising funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Association through its 37th annual MDA Shamrock program.

From March 1 through March 31 you can purchase an iconic paper shamrock at the checkout for $1, $5 or a larger contribution. Funds raised will benefit people with muscular dystrophy, ALS and related muscle-debilitating diseases.

The shamrocks will be displayed on the ceilings and walls in the 42 participating stores.

“Every shamrock sold is a symbol of strength, independence and life for kids and adults with life-threatening diseases especially now that we’re seeing the impact of MDA’s investment in research resulting in treatments,” said Melissa Saucier, representative of Keith Co Petroleum. “Thanks to the generosity of Keith’s Superstore employees and customers, we can help MDA invest in lifesaving research and support programs for these individuals to free kids and adults from the harm of muscular dystrophy, ALS and related life-threatening diseases that severely weaken muscle strength and mobility.”
