LAUREL, MS (WDAM) - Laurel police arrested a Heidelberg man accused of intentionally ramming his car into a Laurel business.

Albert L. Morrow, 64, was arrested and charged with one count of felony malicious mischief and DUI. Police said Morrow purposely drove his car into a business on Susie B. Ruffin Avenue.

“From eyewitness accounts and video, we were able to attain, it appeared the suspect rammed the store on multiple occasions, causing thousands of dollars of damage to the store,” LPD Capt. Tommy Cox said.

No one was injured during the incident, and police believe alcohol was a contributing factor.

Morrow is expected to have his initial court appearance in Laurel Municipal Court on Friday.
