PINE BELT, MS (WDAM) - Saturday will start out mostly cloudy with temperatures in the 60s. The south wind may get a bit breezy through midday. Temperatures will rise into the mid to upper 70s by mid afternoon. Hit and miss showers will be all across the area during the day out ahead of a line of storms that will ride through the area in the evening.
The good news is that the line of storms will be falling apart as they arrive. That should limit the overall threat for severe weather. The bad news is there will still be a window of opportunity for some severe weather before the line falls all the way apart, between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m.
Sunday will start off with clouds, but the sunshine will return. Highs will be int he mid 60s. The sun will continue on Monday with highs still in the mid 60s.
The next chance for rain arrives next Tuesday night and through Wednesday. Highs will be around 70. Rain chances will be around 40 percent.
Beyond that, next Thursday and Friday also feature a chance for some showers and storms, that may linger into Saturday before we dry thins out as we head through the first week in March.
