FORREST COUNTY, MS (WDAM) - A judge set bond Thursday for two inmates who escaped from the Forrest County Jail.
Carlos Sibley, 26, and Donaven Harris, 29, were both given bonds of $100,000 after escaping from jail on Friday, Feb. 15. The two were first reportedly spotted near a campus dorm at the University of Southern Mississippi. Authorities continued their search for Sibley and Harris on Saturday, Feb. 16 after they were spotted in Lamar County.
The two were eventually captured just before midnight in Hattiesburg.
Sibley pleaded guilty to second-degree murder charges in September 2018 for the 2016 shooting death of 64-year-old Frank Jenkins. Harris is serving a sentence for armed robbery and still has two aggravated assault charges pending.
