On Wednesday, the right-hander from Raleigh was named Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges “Pitcher of the Week.”
On Thursday, Page was named National Junior College Athletic Association-Division II “Pitcher of the Week.”
Page did not allow a hit Sunday, struck out 10 and walked one in five scoreless innings as the eighth-ranked Wildcats claimed an 11-4 victory over St. Louis Community College.
The game was part of a mixed doubleheader, and Page also contributed at the plate, as PRCC also topped Baton Rouge Community College. Page went 2-for-5 with a walk, a double, a RBI and three runs scored.
In two appearances this season, Page (1-0) has posted 15 strikeouts over a team-high 10 innings pitched. He has allowed two runs (none earned), while allowing two hits and two walks and hitting a batter.
Weather permitting, PRCC (5-1) is scheduled to host Coastal Alabama Community College for a Friday double-header starting at 3 p.m.
