JONES, MS (WDAM) - Metro Crime Stoppers and Clarkco Oilfield Services Inc. are offering a reward for information leading to an arrest in an apparent hit-and-run that seriously injured a man in Jones County.

The incident happened on Jan. 22, 2019 on Highway 28 in the Gitano area west of Soso. Deputies with the Jones County Sheriff’s Department received the call just before noon. When they arrived, they found 67-year-old Ted Windham lying in the roadway.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to $1,000 and Clarkco Oilfield Services Inc., Windham’s recent job, is offering up to $4,000.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol is leading this investigation; however, authorities are still trying to figure out how exactly the incident took place.
