HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -The campus health center and a student services organization teamed up at Southern Miss Thursday to help make students healthier.
The Moffitt Health Center and the Office of Multi-Cultural Programs and Services hosted a Health Fair at the R.C. Cook Student Union.
Free blood pressure checks and HIV testing were offered, along with information on topics like diabetes and mental health.
“Moffitt (Health Center) usually does a health fair once a semester and for the spring, we actually just decided to partner together for a greater impact,” said Tegi Jenkins-Rimmer, program manager for the Office of Multi-Cultural Programs and Services.
Another health fair is being planned for the fall semester.
