ELLISVILLE, MS (WDAM) _ Sophomore guard David McCoy hit four, 3-pointers on his way to a game-high 18 points that helped Jones College to a recent 81-69 Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges’ South Division victory over Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.
The Bobcats (11-4, 5-1) won the contest for second place in the South with the Bulldogs (12-3, 4-2).
Sophomore guard Winceton Edwards and freshman guard Kenneth Rogers each made a trio of 3-pointers on their way to 13 points apiece. Sophomore forward Galen Alexander and freshman guard Casey Smith Jr. scored 10 points each.
The Bulldogs got 17 points from freshman guard Dillyn Neely, while freshman forward Tafari Simms and sophomore guard Keevon Oney scored 11 points each.
Jones will wrap up the first half of South Division play when the Bobcats travel to Wesson at 7:30 p.m. Monday to take on Copiah-Lincoln Community College
