Tyler Polk (No. 5) became the ninth Pearl River Community College football player from 2018 to sign with a four-year college.

POPLARVILLE, MS (WDAM) _ A ninth player from the 2018 Pearl River Community College football team saw a ninth player move on to play at the next level.

Sophomore Tyler Polk, the Wildcats’ leading receiver, is headed to Davidson University in Grand Rapids, Mich.

Polk, a second-team All-Mississippi Association of Community and Junior College selection, had 34 catches for 446 yards and three touchdowns this past fall. In his two years at PRCC, Polk caught 58 passes for 748 yards and four touchdowns.

“Tyler can play anywhere as a receiver,” PRCC coach Ted Egger said in a statement. “He’s an all-state receiver who catches the ball well and works hard. He’s a great kid.”
