WATCH: Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith and Mike Espy debate ahead of runoff

JACKSON, MS (WDAM) - Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith and Mike Espy faced off in a Tuesday night debate ahead of next week’s runoff.

The runoff election on Nov. 27 between Espy and Hyde-Smith will decide who will serve the rest of retired Sen. Thad Cochran’s term. Gov. Phil Bryant appoint Hyde-Smith to fill the seat in April until a special election could be held in November.
